Ellen Degeneres was discovered as “America’s Funniest Person” in 1982, and quickly grew into one of America’s favorite comedians. Though she received some discouragement after coming out as openly gay on The Oprah Winfrey Show, she never lost her zeal for life and her desire to comfort and charm Americans. In 2003, she began her hit The Ellen Degeneres Show. Through Ellen’s humor, sensitivity, and kindness, she has proven time and time again that she is the real deal. In honor of her sixtieth birthday, we wanted to share some of our favorite moments with Ellen!
