When you pictured having kids (before you had kids) your fantasies probably included perfectly coiffed and adorable mini-mes who lived to fulfill your parenting aspirations to have the brightest and best kids on the block. All this while you had the perfect relationship with your co-parent, a totally satisfying and lucrative job, and friends to hang out with and to do amazing things on the weekends. Then reality hits and you suddenly realize that your most attainable parenting aspiration may just be to get your kids to sleep at a reasonable hour so you can have 15 minutes of quiet before you pour your exhausted body into bed. And forget lucrative and satisfying job, you’d be happy to be in a job that you don’t necessarily *hate* if it helps you make the mortgage and credit card payments. Yeah. Reality’s kind of a let down, but #thisismylifenow.

I'm a married, stay at home mother of 4, with a lot of crazy going on. Being a parent is so rewarding, but very exhausting! Ha! My husband is a musician/entrepreneur with a lot going on, so I manage most of the day to day and happen to find a lot of humor in all the chaos. If the choice is laugh or cry, I'll choose laugh every time. :)
