Let people say what they want about CrossFit. If you’ve actually tried it, you know. You get it. For those of us motivated by competition, whether it be against others or just ourselves, CrossFit is the answer. For those of us who value connecting with those around us and building and sustaining those relationships, CrossFit is the answer. It’s impossible to ignore the magic in going physically all-out with a roomful of people, every one of them giving everything they have for the 10-30 min WOD. And then looking around when it is all over and seeing everyone flat on their back, gasping for air. You don’t see that anywhere else. CrossFit is meaningful and vivid and shared. It requires drive and hunger. Hunger for more. Always more.
CrossFit is hard. It demands mental strength just as much as physical strength, and because of that, it’s pretty damn funny. Because as much as we all love CrossFit, we HATE Burpees and Thrusters more. And yet we continue to come back. For more. Always more.
